The food we serve at Halne Fjellstova is largely based on fresh, local fare and traditional Norwegian cooking.

Gilbert Belleteste, our French Head Chef, has been in Halne for 33 years, and through these years has enabled us to develop our reputation for high quality, delicious food and personalized dishes, thus making Halne the perfect stop for the many motorists passing through this area.

Gilbert has developed an extensive, varied menu, including one of our signature dishes, fresh mountain trout, which we ourselves have fished from Halne Fjord. We also offer a number of wild game entrees and traditional Norwegian homemade sour cream porridge, in addition to various international dishes.

At Halne, we offer something for every taste!

Breakfast is served daily from 8:00 to 10:00. We offer a breakfast buffet including fresh baked bread.

Dinner is served daily from 12:30 to 19:30. Our menu offers a variety from simple fare to more exclusive courses and appetizers, soups, salads and enticing desserts.

We serve three course dinner daily to our full pension guests.
